Lalé Shafaghi

Lalé Shafaghi (playwright) was born in the United Kingdom in 1978.  Her family came to America in 1984.  After moving around quite a bit, they settled in southern California where there are large Persian communities everywhere.  Lalé moved to San Francisco in 1997.  Before receiving her M.F.A. in Playwriting at San Francisco State University in 2005 where she worked closely with Anne Galjour and Brian Thorstenson, she interned with Campo Santo at Intersection For The Arts.  She has stage managed and dramaturged for A Traveling Jewish Theater, Dance Mission, award-winning Three Drops Of Blood Cabaret, and her very own Rococo Risqué.  She currently works closely with local artists in variety of capacities to nurture and support their work.
